What is Pokerogue?

Pokerogue is a fan-made Pokémon + roguelike dungeon crawler where you fight, collect, and evolve Pokémon inside a randomly-generated labyrinth of escalating danger. It combines the battle mechanics of Pokémon with the procedural chaos of roguelikes, meaning every run is unique—and no Pokébuddy is safe.

Core Gameplay Loop:

1. Pick a starter Pokémon (more unlock as you progress).

2. Explore floors of procedurally-generated dungeons.

3. Battle wild Pokémon, mini-bosses, and corrupted trainers.

4. Level up, evolve, find loot (berries, TMs, weird cursed relics).

5. Die? Start over. But now with better unlocks.
