PokeVoid

What is PokeVoid?

PokeVoid is a glitched-out, horror-inspired Pokémon fangame where the familiar world of Pokémon has been corrupted by a mysterious void. It blends classic creature collecting with eerie mystery, surreal environments, and game-breaking mechanics that make you question what’s real.

STORY OVERVIEW:

You’re a beta tester for a never-released Pokémon game titled “Pokémon Eclipse”. But something’s wrong. The game’s code has been corrupted by a sentient glitch, known only as The Void. Pokémon are mutating. Towns are merging. Dialogue makes no sense. And some characters know you’re watching.

GAMEPLAY FEATURES:

Void Mechanics:

  • Reality Breaks: Random tile warps, floating trainers, upside-down towns.

  • Voided Pokémon: Creatures infected by glitch — distorted types, stats, moves.

  • Time Loop Zones: Some areas reset unless you act “differently.”

  • Corruption Meter: If it fills… the game starts deleting save data (meta gameplay twist).

NEW TYPES:

  • GLITCH Type – Unstable moves with random effects.

  • NULL Type – Drains opponent’s PP, stats go negative.

  • ECHO Type – Can affect memories of your previous playthroughs.

CHARACTERS:

You – “The Player”:

But the game refers to you by your real-world name the deeper you go…

Professor PXR:

Glitched figure wearing a lab coat made of static. He speaks in scrambled text. Knows what you did in past saves.

The Void Entity:

Appears as a monstrous fusion of corrupted Pokémon. It can’t be caught. It crashes your game when you try.

BATTLE SYSTEM:

  • Traditional turn-based with unstable rules:

    • Some moves delete opponent’s name.

    • “Run” button may actually cause a game reset.

    • Pokéballs sometimes open to reveal corrupted code instead of Pokémon.

CONCLUSION:

PokeVoid is not your average Pokémon game—it’s a surreal, creepy dive into a world where data has feelings, creatures are cursed, and the boundaries between game and player are crumbling. It’s equal parts nostalgic, disturbing, and brilliant.
